Every so often, I will choose a number of submissions that will be published on the site for BuddingWriter’s wider community to read and review. We will aim initially to publish between five and ten per month. Only work that is deemed by our expert reviewers to be of sufficient quality and with potential for publishing will be chosen. All budding writers whose work is chosen will be contacted to ensure that they are happy to have their work published on the site.
Jill’s Current Choices:
Budding Writers - Here’s the Plan!
We’re going to write a Book over a 3-month period. Each week, we will publish a Chapter or Section of the Book on the site. Readers can review, comment, suggest and ask questions as we progress. At the end, we will have a book which we will publish.
Writing a Book is one of the most rewarding and satisfying achievements in the World. It’s on the majority of people’s ‘Bucket List’. Reading and using this Guide, will provide you with the steps to create your own masterpiece.
This is a short book - after all if you’re reading this, you’re not writing! And as the objective of this book is to get you writing, you shouldn’t spend too long reading it. But it does contain the basics of what you need to know to get you started and to help you along the way. And you can dip in and out of it as you progress or when you’re stuck.
The Quotes:
Buddy has included quotes from some famous and the odd not-so-famous writer about writing. They are there to help the budding writer along the way...
So let’s get started!
Oh, sorry - a quote!
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it; Boldness has genius, power and magic in it”.
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
This book is a student bible providing the guidelines needed to support students in succeeding academically in 3rd level education. To maximise its effectiveness, this ‘how-to’ guide includes material that outlines the tasks and challenges students face, the skills they require and a proven approach to help them succeed. It is rooted in the day-to-day life that students encounter.
