Buddy: Bob, where did the idea for BuddingWriter originate?

Bob: Well Buddy, when I was writing, I wasted a lot of time looking to get published because I had no real idea where to start. Thinking about it afterwards, I figured that there must be a better way for budding writers to get their writing reviewed and published. So I came up with the idea for buddingwriter.com.

Buddy: Tell me more.

Bob: Most of the time it is difficult for budding writers to get started. Even when they do, they get stuck or doubt themselves as they progress. I wanted to provide an arena where budding writers could take the first easy steps and test if they are on the right path. That’s where we come in.

Buddy: Jill, Bob has been published and was looking to help others achieve the same. What about the others at the buddingwriter.com team?

Jill: We have a number of people on the team and all of them have experience in the reviewing and publishing space. Their experience proves invaluable when conducting reviews as they have a bloodhound's scent for what is good and what will work. Our team will also find the rough diamonds that just need a little polishing.

Buddy: You make it sound easy?

Jill: We don't underestimate the amount of work involved in getting a book published. Our role is to make the path easier for the budding writer. Remember, the writer's job is to write – someone else should look after all of the other stuff.

Buddy: Mark, you’re the questions and answers guru and you often say that 'everyone has a book in them' – does that mean everyone can get published?

Mark: Getting published and being read are two different things. There are many ways to be published today – traditional books, magazines, internet, e-books, blogs and so on. The three most important questions, and the answers to those questions will be different for everyone. Those questions are:

  • What are you writing?
  • Why are you writing?
  • Who are your target audience?

If the budding writers can answer these questions, they’re well on the way.

Buddy: So Mark, what does the budding writer need to do?

Mark: Our submission process is outlined here. We’ve made it simple so budding writers just need to follow the guidelines. If you have any specific question you want answered, just drop me a mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Buddy: Bob, any final advice for the budding writer?

Bob: I often say that words in your head, can’t be read! Budding Writers dream of becoming Writers. To realize any dream, Buddy, you must start with one step, and step one for budding writers is to Get Writing!

You can just cut and paste your work during the submission process.
